Veneers
Some of the most dazzling smiles you see in Hollywood are actually a result of porcelain veneers. A veneer is a thin type of restoration that acts as a mask for the front of your teeth, and they can be used to change the shape, size, and color of your smile. Their ability to correct so many issues at once is what makes them a popular treatment, and they can be attached in as little as two appointments.
Metal-Free Crowns
Crowns are often placed for dental health reasons, but they are also sometimes a good cosmetic option. When made from dental porcelain, they can be virtually indistinguishable from your real teeth. Like veneers, they can be used for a variety of cosmetic corrections; for example, you might have them placed over a tooth that is misshapen or has become discolored to the point where it does not respond to traditional teeth whitening treatments.
Cosmetic Bonding
For the cosmetic bonding process, a small amount of composite resin will be applied to the tooth. It will then be carefully sculpted over any dark spots, chips, or other problem areas. Once we’re satisfied that the flaws have been hidden and that the tooth still looks as natural as possible, we will harden the resin in place with a special light. This simple process lets us make a variety of corrections in as little as an hour.
Teeth Whitening
Keeping your teeth as white as possible certainly isn’t an easy task, even for those who brush on a regular basis. We use GLO whitening gel to break down the staining particles that are below the surface of the enamel where store-bought whitening products typically can’t reach. The gel contains special ingredients that penetrate the tooth after being activated by a special light. GLO whitening can be performed in our office, but there is also a take-home version.
Gum Recontouring
Normally when you smile, nobody should be paying attention to your gums. But that doesn’t mean that these soft tissues don’t have an impact on your grin. If your teeth look unusually small, or if some look larger than others, there might be a problem with your gum line. The best solution is to carefully remove the tissue that isn’t needed so that your teeth appear proportional to each other and to the rest of the mouth.
